A Lazy Sunday
Sundays are my quiet days.
I’m not religious, so I don’t get up early to go to church.
I try to get all my housework done on Thursdays or Fridays so I don’t have any to do during the weekend.
I cherish these lazy days. Staying in bed as long as I possibly can, staying in my pjs, not going anywhere unless absolutely necessary… I think we all need days like this. The hustle and bustle of the world can be too much, too fast, too heavy.
I can forget to take care of myself- mentally.
People pleasing is sometimes easier than saying “NO.” This is something I am still working on…
But on Sundays… oh, on Sundays. No is gold. No is easy. Sundays are mine.
My next step in personal growth is to figure out how to have more Sunday-authority on other days of the week- when “yes, sure, I can do that” seems easier than “No.”
Do you set boundaries? How do you make sure you keep them?
Let’s move onto the fun stuff…
This weekend, I was spoiled by my boyfriend with fantastic homemade enchiladas and the best steak I have ever had. He’s a pro when it comes to red meat and I am a lucky, lucky lady.
We took a little visionary jog down memory lane with an old Cartoon Network show called Megas XLR and The Craft (“we are the weirdos, mister”).
We filled our Sunday with bite size Horror shorts from The Alter on YouTube.
Oh, and we’re still painting the house! Nate doesn’t have a fear of heights like I do, so getting on the ladder to hit the peak of the house was easy-peasy for him. We still have a lot more to do, but it’s getting there. I’m absolutely LOVING how it’s turning out.
I’ve got some new designs listed in my shop, as well. Navigate to the menu at the top of the screen and hit “RedBubble- Art”. It’ll take you right to my shop so you can see all the designs I have available! There’s over 100, so there’s something for everyone!
Here’s a sneak peek…
